<description>Hello Latara, I had to Twitter over to read your blog.

Lately, I've found my self on the other side of hateful stares, racist comments, ignorant propaganda (where one post I read stated that the youth’s have been brainwashed~Ha! Our youth’s have been undervalued by some classes and they realize it~ people hate the light/truth and will turn it all directions to help their reality).

I've tried to process it rationally (don't ask why), but I know because my God lives that the hatred I experience is not against me, but against the change we're experiencing. Whether we voted/prayed/wished that Mr. Obama would be our next President, we all were surprised by the overwhelming victory on November 4th.

Any change will bring a string of emotions with it to include shock, disbelief, anger and sometimes hatred of the unknown. The beauty I see in this however is we can embrace our change and enlighten others on the positive side of this much needed change and put our focus on contributing to a solution.

I enjoyed reading the blog and comments.

		<description>LaTara,

What a great post! It is really sad at some of the backlash that has come about after the election. But I have to say that I think the positive will win out.

What a wonderful country we live in that we have finally been able to cross this line and elect Barack Obama! I can honestly say that even though I have voted in every election I was able to since the age of 18, I was never more proud to vote than on November 4th. It was a really amazing day and I think our country, despite some of the people who choose to express ugliness, is headed in an amazing direction!

I just hope that the other people in childrens' lives (teachers, coaches and care providers) will be able to lead by example and show kids whose parents may be of the group you are speaking, that our country took a giant leap forward November 4th and there is no looking back! Change is really here.

Thanks LaTara, for bringing up a really important topic.

<description>My lips disappear when I smile.
I'm flat (saggy) chested.
I am still breaking out on my face and am 33 yrs. old.
My hair is paper thin and straight.
I really could go on, but I'm already ready to shift the focus..... I am God's creation and beautiful in His SIGHT!!! praise the Lord. Great post!!!
(I found you because of your authenticity.... I'm ALL about that.)

<description>Girl, you do not have enough space here for me to list my imperfections! But as you I am learning to deal with them, because I know that I was made in God's eyes and He does not see our imperfections. He only sees beauty!
I thank you for sharing your testimony with us...you are a true blessing from God!!
